Registering students should observe the following registration process.
-Visit the url: http://unnportal.unn.edu.ng.
-Click on POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS.
-CLICK ON POSTGRADUATE PORTAL.
-By the right hand side, click on “CLICK HERE TO GET LOGIN DETAILS.”
-If new student, click on NEW STUDENTS’ button. If an old student, then click on RETURNING STUDENT’S button.
-In the registration number box, enter your application number in full e.g. UNN/PG/2016p-18/000039
-Click SUBMIT to get login details i.e, username and password which is your application number.
-Click on STUDENT LOGIN to go back to the login page.
-In the username and password boxes enter your application number in full and click on LOGIN, which opens your account.
-Click on PROFILE and then CHANGE PASSWORD to change your default password.
-Click on PROFILE and the BIO-DATA to complete your profile.
-Click on ACCEPTANCE and then GENERATE PG ACCEPTANCE INVOICE to generate acceptance fee payment invoice.
-Proceed to the bank to make the payment and obtain a bank print out and a bank teller. After the payment, click on ACCEPTANCE and then PG-ACCEPTANCE to printout your Provisional Admission Letter.
-Click on SCHOOL FEES and then GENERATE PG SCHOOL FEES INVOICE to generate PG school fees payment invoice.
-Proceed to the bank to make the payment and obtain a bank print out and a bank teller.
-After the payment in the bank, click on SCHOOL FEES and then PG SCHOOL FEES in your account to obtain online school fees receipt.
-Then click on GET SCHOOL REG. NO. To get registration number e.g PG/MSC/16/73789.
-Then printout your PARTICULARS Of Admission and YOUR PROFILE and submit together with your admission letter to room 115.
-Proceed to room 202 at Postgraduate school for school fees and acceptance fee payment verification.
-Then, proceed to Room 107 at PG school for your original school fees and acceptance fee receipts.
-Visit Room 115 at PG school with your original certificates for verification.
-Postgraduate students interested in hostel accommodation should generate hostel payment invoice and pay in the bank

UNILAG Matriculates 7,882 For 2016/2017 Session
The University Of Lagos (UNILAG) has matriculated a total number of 7,822 students for the 2016/2017 academic session.
This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the school, Prof. Rahamon Bello.
While explaining how the institution arrived at the number of matriculation students, he said that 38,140 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) applicants and 4,310 direct entries, totalling 42, 440 applicants, began the selection process.
Out of which 25,883 candidates scored 200 and above at the UTME. 19,732 presented themselves for screening.
6,506 were offered provisional admissions in the UTME category and 2,238 in the direct entry category, bringing the number to 8,744.
After a thorough screening exercise, 7,882, representing 18.69 percent of the total number of applicants (UTME and Direct), Scaled the registration procedure.
He reminded the matriculating students that gaining admission into the 54-year-old institution was not only noble but also glorious adding that completing the matriculation process was not the end of their journey to obtain tertiary education by actually the first step.
He advised them be determined, diligence and zealous towards achieved academic excellence and shun cultism and other social vices that will jeopardize their stay in the institution.

UNICAL Registration Of GSS Courses 2016/2017 Has Commenced - See Procedures
The management of University of Calabar (UNICAL) has released the procedure for GSS courses registration, 2016/2017.
The breakdown is as indicated on the table below;
REGISTRATION OF GSS COURSES 2016/2017 SESSION
1. Proceed to register your GSS courses at the Directorate of ICT. University Of Calabar (the ICT experts there would guide you and assist you with internet, payments issues, printing and easy process flow).
2. Make your payments and update your data (you need an authentic phone number and a digital passport) - pay at STERLING BANK or UNICAL MICROFINANCE BANK.
3. Verify your payment for course registration and obtain a print out of the registration.
4. The print out serves as proof of registration, class admit slip and exam permit slip.
5. PROCEED TO GSS CENTRE WITH A PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR PRINT OUT TO RECORD YOUR REGISTRATION.

There will be a surcharge for any damaged Academic Gown and a charge of N2,000.00 per day for any delayed return of the gown.

ACEONDO Approved Punishment For Examination Malpractices
Academic Board of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo has approved the Punishment for Examination Malpractices with effect from 2016/2017 Academic Session as follows:
1. Involvement in the leakage of examination papers i.e. serving as agent to circulate leaked examination questions. The punishment is EXPULSION
2. Bringing in unauthorized materials into the examination hall with or without using them e.g. Textbooks, notes, paper, GSM phones, other electronic devices, manuscripts etc. The penalty is SUSPENSION FOR 4 SEMESTERS AND ‘0F’ result in the affected course.
3. Copying from another person’s work or looking into another person’s work. The penalty for this is SUSPENSION FOR 2 SEMESTERS AND ‘0F’ in the affected course.
4. Releasing or exposing one’s answer script to be copied by another candidate attracts SUSPENSION FOR 2 SEMESTERS AND ‘0F’ in the affected course.
5. Exchanging answer scripts and question papers, information like printed materials, text messages, microchips etc during any examination attracts SUSPENSION FOR 4 SEMESTERS AND ‘0F’ in the affected course.
6. Collaboration in the examination hall while examination is going on attracts SUSPENSION FOR 2 SEMESTERS AND ‘0F’ in the affected course.
7. Aiding and Abetting:
(a) Assisting in the transfer of prohibited items from one candidate to another in the examination hall attracts Suspension for 2 Semesters.
(b) Failure or refusal to report act of cheating during examination attracts Suspension for 1 Semester.
8. Substituting examination scripts with unauthorized scripts or materials before, during or after any examination attracts EXPULSION
9. Coming into an examination hall with a gun or any dangerous weapon attracts EXPULSION AND THE HANDING OVER OF THE CRIMINAL TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS
10. Physical assault or insulting any staff before, during or after any examination will attract EXPULSION.
11. Unruly behaviour in the Examination Hall e.g. Disobedience to lawful orders, drunkenness or obstructing peace during an examination attracts SUSPENSION FOR 4 SEMESTERS
12. Destruction/Mutilation of answer script by any student attracts SUSPENSION FOR 4 SEMESTERS.
13. Assaulting another student during any examination attracts EXPULSION
14. Loitering near Examination Hall with intention to aid or abet attracts suspension FOR 1 semester.
15. Refusal to complete Examination Malpractice form attracts SUSPENSION FOR 4 SEMESTERS.
16. Impersonation During Examination: This applies to any Candidate caught writing examination for another person. When the impersonator and impersonated are students of the College (A. C. E.) both students shall be EXPELLED.
17. Any Candidate who signs the register on behalf of another Candidate shall be treated as a case of impersonation and shall be expelled from the College.
18. Spying during examination: Any Candidate caught spying other Candidate’s work in the examination hall SHALL HAVE HIS/HER PAPER CANCELLED.
19. Soliciting for Marks: Any Candidate caught soliciting for marks before, during or after an examination directly and indirectly SHALL HAVE HIS/HER PAPER CANCELLED.
20. Destruction of Evidence: Any Candidate who destroys or mutilates materials that will be used as evidence to establish an allegation against him/her shall BE EXPELLED from the College.
21. Writing on Question Papers: Any Candidate caught with unauthorized writings, jottings and drawing on question papers shall have his/her examination paper CANCELLED.
22. Illegal Possession of Live Question Paper: Any Candidate found with live question(s) or with prepared answers, indicating that there was fore-knowledge of the actual question(s) shall be EXPELLED from the College and the source of leakage shall be appropriately investigated.
23. Incrimination of Invigilator(s)/Lecturer (s) and Other Students: Any Candidate found to have falsely incriminated a lecturer; staff or another student in a case of examination malpractice shall be EXPELLED from the College.
24. Repeated Misconduct: Any Candidate who commits any examination misconduct as a second time offender shall be EXPELLED from the College.
NOTE
Without prejudice to the fore-going, the College may go beyond the prescribed sanction based on the merit of each case – ranging from reprimand to dismissal/expulsion.

CODES FOR HANDLING EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE/CONDITIONS FOR DEALING WITH OFFENSES:
(i) Any examination Malpractice discovered before, during or after an examination shall be handled by the Student Disciplinary Committee (SDC).
(ii) Examination Malpractice shall not be allowed during Continuous Assessment tests conducted in the College. Any act of examination malpractice during the course work assessment shall attract the same penalties as the malpractices committed during the regular examination.
(iii) Any candidate caught cheating or attempting to cheat shall be made to fill the Examination Malpractice Form immediately. Such a statement must be signed by the candidate in question, the examination invigilator as well as the supervisor on duty.
(iv) Any Candidate who refuses to appear before the Students Disciplinary Committee shall be deemed guilty of the alleged offense and shall be penalized accordingly.
(v) All recommendations of the Students Disciplinary Committee shall be forwarded to the College Management for consideration and final approval by the Academic Board.
STAFF INVOLVEMENT
Any member of staff, teaching, non-teaching, security or adhoc, who is involved (or alleged to be involved) in any examination malpractice shall be duly investigated by the Staff Disciplinary Committee and sanctions shall be meted out as appropriate based on the severity of the offense. For the avoidance of doubt, examination malpractice on the part of staff shall include:
Ø Lateness to invigilation and supervision
Ø Absenteeism from examination duties
Ø Leaving examination duty before the end of the exercise
Ø Abandoning examination duty post to engage in chats or other frivolities
Ø Aiding and abetting cheating in any form
Ø Leaking examination questions to students
Ø Helping to cover the reportage of cheating
Ø Hampering the investigation of examination malpractice
Ø Fabricating of scores or grades
Ø Altering examination scores at any point
Ø Getting involved in examination/admission syndicacy
Ø Printing or circulating unauthorized/fake examination materials
Ø Any other act(s) considered by the college to be tantamount to examination malpractice.

COLLECTION OF ACADEMIC GOWNS
On the collection of academic gowns by graduands, (B.Sc, MSc./PGD) they will pay a sum of thirty-six thousand Naira (N36,000.00) for academic gowns, Convocation Brochures and Scrolls through POS in any of the Bursary Departments of the University Campuses (Ibogun, Ayetoro, Ikenne and Main Campus) and the refund of six thousand Naira (N6,000.00) will be given them on return of the Academic Gowns.
Similarly, Ph.D graduands will pay sixty‐five thousand Naira (N65,000.00) from which twenty‐five thousand Naira (N25,000.00) is refundable while those intending to keep ;their academic gowns will pay sixty thousand Naira (N60,000.00) non‐refundable fees.
Meanwhile, the University has directed all College Secretaries/Faculty Officers to commence issuance of Academic Gowns to Graduands from Wednesday, 18th January, 2017 in respective College/Faculties while graduands from Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Engineering and Agricultural Sciences are to collect theirs at the Directorate of Students Affairs.
However, the return of all academic gowns in good condition by all graduands must be complied with by Friday, 17th February, 2017 to enable them merit the refundable deposit of six thousand Naira (N6,000.00) to be credited to graduands’ various Bank Accounts.
The University warns that any graduand who fails to comply with the condition above within the stipulated deadline will have to pay a penalty fee of six thousand Naira (N6,000.00) per week.
The University strongly advised all expected guests to be seated by 9.00am on the Convocation days.

Nekede Poly Notice To Students On Payment Of Fees Using ATM Cards
The management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede has released the guidelines below to guide students (ND and HND morning) on how to pay School fee, Acceptance, Supplementary and other fees online using their ATM and Credit cards.
To complete the process, kindly follow the steps below using your iPad, smartphones or PC:
1. Student updates his/her profile on http://portal.fpno.edu.ng/nekede/
2. To login, the student enters his/her portal ID and password in the boxes provided on the login page.
3. After a successful login, select fee type and click on generate invoice.
4. On the generated invoice page, click on the link ”Click here to pay online with Credit or ATM Card ” .
5. After successful payment, the student prints his/her receipt.
Instruction: Please, secure your password to avoid unauthorized access to your online account.

Please note that graduands of undergraduate programmes are to receive their gowns from their respective Study Centers while hoods would be issued at NOUN Model Study Centre Dutse Alhaji, Junction on Kubwa Express Way, Abuja.

The management of University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has released undergraduate degree Online registration guidelines for 2016/2017 academic session.
ONLINE PAYMENT AND PORTAL LOGIN:
1. Payment of ALL Fees is strictly through the University Portal ONLY using the debit cards of any internet payment enabled card with the required amount for payment in the account of the card holder. The phone number attached to the account also should be handy or the token attached to such account.

Course Registration
The My Registration sub-nodule enables the student register courses for the current session or semester. The student must not exceed the recommended maximum number of credit unit for the semester as stated on the guidance notes. This sub-module also consists of four features namely: change Semester/Session, (Register a Course) Add more course, Save and Submit Registration.
Changing a semester or Session
The Change Semester/Session feature enables you move to another semester or session in order to register course for that semester/session. To change semester or session, do the following:
-Log in as a student in the Login page to display the modules which you can access on the portal
-From My School, select My Registration
-The system displays the Course Registration page, containing the course which you are required to take, during each of the semesters of the current session.
-Click on the Change Semester or Change Session button to display the Change Session/Semester page.
-Select the application session “2016/2017” from the Select Session dropdown list.
-Select the level of study from the Select level of Study dropdown list
-Click on Change to display the selected session course to be registered and the total number of units for the session/session.
-To add more courses to the elective courses, click on Add more courses to display the page
Enter the code of the courses which you want to add to the session or semester in the course code field, and click on search.
The system displays the code, title, and credit units of the course on the gird.
Then, check the check box beside this added course, and click on Add Selected Courses
The Added course is saved to the system: and also, displayed in the Elective Courses panel.
Also, the total number of units for the session/Session is increased.
Note: if the maximum number of credit for the session/semester/session is exceeded, the system displays a message indicating this.
Click on the Submit Registration button to submit.
After submitting and you notice a mistake, click Reset, log out and re-log again so you may do a fresh registration.
Note: You may click on the Save button to save the registration process if you do not want to submit the form immediately.

-Click on "proceed to gateway"
-Your Remita Reference (RRR) number will be displayed (write it down or print invoice)

JAMB 2017 Candidates Warned Against Purchasing Fake UTME Forms
THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned prospective candidates against purchasing fake UTME application forms or falling victim to fraudsters as the sales of the 2017 UTME form has not commenced.
This was coming from JAMB’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dr Fabian Benjamin on Monday.
According to him, “the examination body is yet to begin the sales of the 2017 UTME form.” Prospective candidates Benjamin who appealed for patience from the public, explained that JAMB was putting finishing touches to the arrangements for a hitch free outing, adding, “the board would adequately sensitise the public before the sale begins.” His words: “We do not want a repeat of what had been happening before and during registration this year.
He called on candidates to always visit the Board's official website for credible information.
Meanwhile it was learnt that some cyber cafes and tutorial centres have already started selling fake forms to candidates and many candidates have already fallen victims to this fraud.
